Can someone explain to me what people get out of catfishing? And lets be real, its only guys that are catfishing. What i don't get is what exactly is the point of catfishing? I'm not sure if its suppose to troll people or if guys get turned on by it or what. I just don't understand it or get why so many people do it.

No they don't. Girls don't pretend to be other guys. The female equivalent of a guy catfishing online is being an attention whore and sucking in all the lame appeal guys are willing to give.
Catfishing doesn't always mean saying they are the opposite sex.
Still pretending to be someone else is what guys always do when they hit on girls, most girls don't have to lie about impressing someone, guys are suppose to impress us not the other way around.

Not only that but almost every girl lies to impress some dude they like, I see it all the damn time. Some people catfish because they're so insecure with the way they look that they wish they were someone else just so they'd know that they would have a chance with someone attractive.

I'm not very attractive and if i catfished a guy who looked like Chanin Tatum or Justin bieber... i would feel the attention and Pervy shit I always fantasized about ( bottom line is catfishrd get the attention or an attractive friend to talk to that they never even would have been given that chance in real life

I saw this pic on the last thread i made. And even tho the picture is reversed and the image is smaller i still like the idea of people thinking i'm catfishing because of shit like this. Its fucking creepy and violating seeing my picture there and when i streamed and made attention whoring threads on /b/ people tried finding me and spamming my facebook and shit. i mean I don't know.

yes that was me too. because I've seen pics of this girl before. not just on that linked site, it's just the first one which can be found. like I said, I don't know if you are one but new account with gorgeous girl who's pics are on various sites and mostly sexual stuff almost always points towards a cf, so you can't blame people if they might have their doubts. The good thing is, if it's really you then you can make people shut up in no time. But that "proof" you posted on your profile actually does the opposite, because boobs out, no face, no name, no website, etc. doesn't show anything. do a selfie which shows what I listed, wink too so it's not as easy to fake per photoshop and you make everyone on here shut up and look me like an idiot within less than 2 minutes. But usually when these people get asked for this they tell you a dozen excuses why they don't need to or can't do it. Hard to believe if they've posted pics, especially revealing ones before.

to get something their "real" personality wouldn't be able to get
