Sexual Health Why are the words "SEX" and "CHEERLEADER" synonymous to most guys?
Don't tell me it isn't true, you can not say the word "Cheerleader" around a group of guys without having a provocative slur or joke made... you know I'm right guys!
Maybe many girls have no problem with it and know in advance that it is just part of the job, or even like it, but what about the athletic girls that just love it as a sport and do not want to be looked upon as a sex object for doing what they love?
Why do so many guys look at cheerleaders as sex objects? Does that take the appeal out of wanting to become a cheerleader for many girls?

B. YES! It is just part of the territory when joining a cheerleading squad. In fact, many cheerleaders thrive off of the "sex object" status that it brings!

C. I disagree! It is ridiculous that guys look at cheerleaders as sex objects. It is no different than figure skating, gymnastics, ballet or many forms of dancing. Some guys just see any female not dressed in a burqa as sexually provocative

Because they're very sexy, that IS their purpose and guys love to look at half naked chicks! It's NATURE!!
The skimpy outfits and sexy dancing. Many girls become cheerleaders because they enjoy male attention.

If they wanted to be respected as "athletes" they wouldn't need to dress that way. They know that most of their appeal, and the way they make money is by sex appeal. And many professional cheerleaders suck at it, including watching the NFL cheerleaders perform their routines at games.
i do not see anything wrong with it
being sexual is a way to seduce too, i think it is just very human
because cheerleaders are usually not fat landwhales. if you don't wanna be sexy, then don't be a cheerleader xD i have no issue with girls that choose not to do that.
there's also nothing wrong with being a sex object. i know girls are so super scared of only being seen for their body but there's nothing wrong with having a sexy body that people like looking at. it's up to you to bring more to the table than that and if people don't appreciate if you do, just don't deal with those people.

1) Because they're objectively physically attractive, and

You're showing pics of professional cheerleaders. WHY do NFL teams even HAVE cheerleaders... it's to fill the void in the TV time outs and other stoppages... and to be sex objects ! LOL

I do think it goes with the territory. They are there to be eye candy as they tend to be the prettiest girls. There is nothing wrong with this. In the same way girls will lust after the football players, in both cases, they tend to be the most popular groups of people at the school.
Eh it's the uniform. They make it so sexy and revealing that all eyes go there!
And when all eyes are there, so fixated a gaze, all is lost. You just don't wanna stop looking.

A cheerleaders job is to pep up the people and make them happy so that the players get a boost of ego driven drive to win! What is not sexually attractive about that?
