Why do some guys think sending porn pics and asking sex questions is the way to talk to girls?

Obviously I had some creeps online doing that on dating sites. Why would any guy think that's a way to get a girl (who never even met you in person... just online) interested?

Is this a serious case of blue balls? If I'm getting to know you, why would you make it so obvious by telling me your desperation for sex?

Why would they have the nerve to send me their pic of their penis or other porn pics or ask me to get naked? That's not the way to talk to girls.
