Why Do Some People Make Such A Big Deal About Their Partner Watching Porn?

Why Do Some People Make Such A Big Deal About Their Partner Watching Porn?
I personally never saw an issue with someone watching porn. The only issue I'd have is if they got to the point they preferred the porn over sex with me or turned down sex with me to watch porn instead. I've always said, hell watch it together... The only other thing was always, if given a choice I'd rather be having sex than watching others have sex...

  • Love that last picture ( the comment).

    • Right! Best way to "watch"🤣

  • I wouldn't have a problem with it as long as he is still satisfying my needs & not just masturbating to porn.

    • Right! Exactly! My hubby watched porn.. And he also never fucked around on me in 20 years. And hey, when couldn't have sex after back surgery, why shouldn't he watch porn and masturbate if it relieved needs I couldn't temporarily take care of 🤷🏼‍♀️

    • That is different though. Medical reasons.

    • I know about surgery & recovery time.

  • Because porn is not innocuous. Our brains are designed to become more attracted to what we engage with sexually. This deepens the bond between a couple as they are more and more oriented towards each other over time. But porn hijacks this pathway so that it's the point that becomes more attractive. To the point where some people cannot achieve orgasm unless they are looking at porn, even if they are with their partner. They literally have to put porn next to them on the bed just to cum.
It damages your ability to connect with others emotionally.
It's addictive, because it's never as satisfying as another person is but you always want more of it. And getting your brain addicted to something is always destructive.

    • I’ve been watching porn since I was 8. Had 2 amazing orgasms with my husband this morning.

    • Really, my hubby never had an issue with that 🤔

    • It certainly doesn't affect everyone the same way. And you can always find anecdotal evidence from those who haven't had to deal with this. But I'm speaking about is more a general trend, or a bird's eye view of the way porn affects people in general. And there are more and more studies about this.

  • Right I will watch it with them

    • Exactly!!

  • I completely agree with you.

    • 👍👍🙂

  • I don't have a partner to watch porn with. So I watch porn alone.

  • It "seems to me" that the big deal comes in when a man has a much higher sex drive than his partner and is sexually unsatisfied. Anyone else making that observation?

    • No you're the only one that said that... And what if SHE has the higher sex drive?

    • Introduce her to me !!!

    • You already kinda know me tho 🤣🤣 But "loves... nails this is Brains, Brains this is loves... nails"... 🤣🤣🤣

  • I agree 100%... porn is porn. The only issue I'd have is if they got to the point they preferred the porn over sex with me or turned down sex with me to watch porn instead. by what you wrote any person that does that.. has some issues. Why would you give up the real thing for a video lol

    • Right!

  • I personally don't see the point in watching porn if you have someone to have actual sex with. But I don't judge those who do. If that works for them, great.

    • And there's times you and your partner might not be able to have sex. So those times of they choose to run one out to porn I wouldn't see a big deal with that

    • @Brainsbeforebeauty But I wouldn't need porn in that circumstance. I could just politely ask her to take her top off.

    • What if she's sick and medicated? Or it if town?

  • I agree with you miss brains muffins but a married person doesn't have time to watch porn that's if it didn't became boring...

If a man was married to you miss brains muffins, well between his job, eating muffins, having delicious meals, also having fun together and making some naughty sex and going out, i doubt that there will be anytime left for porn 🤣🤣

    • What, no Nigerian Willy porn? 🥺🤣🤣

    • No nigerian for miss brains muffins, only somalians are left in the shop, you want a somalian willy miss brains? You need to bring a truck to be able to carry it 😂😂

    • Flatbed?🤔

  • cuz its like saying your not attracted to em and need something else to get turned on.

    • That's not true tho.

    • Ok then why do u think

    • I didn't mean people don't think that... I meant that just watching porn don't mean sometimes less attracted to you. You can notice a pretty/attractive person walking down the street. That don't mean you're not still attracted to your partner. There can be times, reasons people can't have sex. Sometimes they might be watching porn but thinking more about wishing it was their partner instead...

  • Absolutely not an issue unless one maintains balance between watching porn ans having actual sex.

    • 👍👍

    • Thanks.

  • If a man is watching porn because the woman is not putting out then I don't see how she can complain. But if the man wants to watch porn and doesn't want to have sex then yes that would be offensive.

    • Agree 👍

  • Jealousy and insecurities.

    • Right!!

  • Yeah me and my past girlfriends would watch porn to get in the mood and maybe try to do the positions in the scene. Right now me and my friends with benefits watch porn then we make are own porn film.

    • 👍👍👍

  • Sometimes those kind of videos are so kinky that it brainwashes the person to think that is normal and that their partner should do it, when possibly they (the partner/SO) may not be comfortable doing certain acts, or whatever the case may be.

  • My wife and I used to watch porn together. We always ended up having sex while watching it

    • Right! Same with me and the hubby

    • It seems like sex after porn is always better than sex without porn.

    • Well I've had great sex without watching porn too tho

  • It looks like a lot of guys do that and then can’t have sex. My ex’s wanted me to watch it because I’d like to go so much more than they would…. They sure didn’t care. Usually they told me to just go do it.

  • Watching porn often conflicts with both the personal and religious/spiritual values of some. Others may feel that porn could potentially breed hypersexuality in their partners and thus lead them down the road of infidelity in the future. Theories abound. That being said I personally take no issue with it. I always encourage my partner (s) to partake in that and much more.

  • I don't know.
As long as it does not affect his sex with his partner. It's a good way of getting horny, so in fact can help.

    • Right

    • Your reply, seems a little abrupt, as if you don't agree.

    • No right!! Like do agree
