I don't think it's actual interest in incest. I think it's the context of the relationships.
Meaning, it's people who sort of got forced into situations together, they're familiar with each other, they're always hanging around each other and something comes of it. And being kinda stuck together leads to a few encounters that make people see each other differently, like accidently spotting someone changing. But the core to it is that in this context they are *familiar*. You could have the same sex scene with the context of a random girl picked up on a night out, but that context changes the experience of the same scene.
