The main religious ban on mastrubation is on male mastrubation, partly because of a believe that sperm count as humans, and it's like killing humans, and because of lack of medical knowledge about the fact that sperm get replaced anyway, even without mastrubation and/or sex. Female mastrubation and orgasm tend to have much less effect than male orgasm, that's why it's not it's not matters as much for better and worse, also even if a person believe that mastrubation is bad, I believe that it's still a lesser evil in comparison to casual sex.
