  • Yes if he is pursuing a woman who cares about that kind of thing without an emotional foundation set in place.
but in a relationship I think the concept of chivalry develops naturally where it’s a routine—and with that situation I don’t think chivalry will be the thing that gets you laid because it’s expected behavior with a person you are familiar with. It’s not extra incentive to to share the lady bits.

  • Not my case, but many women as men do, confuse politeness with flirt.

    • That's true

  • the only people worth having sex with are kind and caring, so yes, in a sense

    • 21... You must be a outcasted because no other 21 year old i have met shows that or perhaps your lying to ya self

    • @moststrangestguy so nobody is kind or caring? that's just not true

  • i said no because you didn't say they'd been dating. if on the first date i would probably initiate the chivalry without knowing her strong woman position; but if she wasn't a strong woman i'd still do the same. i don't discriminate. a girl that clarifies that she doesn't want that is one that is saying this is not going to be a relationship. this is sex

  • It might. People are into a lot of different things

  • No, only if it's genuine and I can tell the difference between genuine chivalry and trying to get laid in less than 1 date.

    • How do you get laid in less than one date? Please teach me, senpai 😂

    • Trying to get laid is a normal, natural function.

  • Nope

  • Unfortunately not. It gets you "friend zoned". It's sooo old fashioned.

  • No.
Things like chivalry generally make a woman who’d already have sex with you happier, but won’t shift her into being attracted if she wasn’t to start with.
plus if there’s any whiff of you caring how she reacts as opposed to just being a guy who seems powerful and looks out for those around him, it’s actually a negative.
If anything, you’re more likely to get somewhere by her catching you doing something for someone you want nothing from than doing something for her, though I’m not suggesting guys go around faking it.

    • The female voting is not surprising. It’s wrong, but not surprising. About as accurate as a poll asking if wearing no makeup Ever is a good idea for women.

    • "though I’m not suggesting guys go around faking it." *wink wink*

  • Being chivalrous won't get you laid. Being chivalrous can help you get laid. Chivalry just does not matter. But with the right girl, after you've already displayed you're just a normal guy. You're a human and treat her like a fellow human. You can relax and have fun. After that if you display a chivalrous act she'll really appreciate it, because it's coming from you and you showed her another layer of the kind of guy you are. Rather than just that act actually helping you. The act doesn't matter. It's the guy behind it.

It's kind of like if your partner got you a rawhide bone as a gift for your birthday. How would you react? Now, what if your dog or your friends dog brought you his rawhide bone as a gift for your birthday. How would you feel? Now, what if a random homeless man on the street offered you a bone as a gift for a birthday. How would you feel? lol it's silly. But obviously the act of giving a bone doesn't matter. It's the one behind it.

  • No that’s what desperate pathetic men do. You know the white knight who are creepy and desperate. Basically the majority of men on gag. They think it would work but it’s actually really creepy besides women don’t deserve special treatment especially modern women. They say they want equality and they are feminists and bla bla. Any guy that still is chivalrous is a chump

    • Now THIS guy gets it!

    • "Basically the majority of men on gag." You've noticed that too.

    • @Juxtapose No argument there. In fact in full agreement.

  • Long as you are sincere not put on some act. Being honest caring and loving also those would be the chivalry.

  • That's not the point of chivalry.

    • There is no point to practice gallantry.

    • @joeblow123 There is always a point to anything that espouses virtue. You may believe what you wish, but considering gallantry pointless is not the mark of good character.

    • I can have good character and not be subservient to women at the same time.

  • Yes and no. But if he does that just to use a girl for sex then it'll hurt his chances.

  • Yes, I believe women crave for that kind of romance gives of acts of chivalry

  • Actual chivalry has almost nothing to do with women what you are talking about is a gentleman.

Whether it's being a gentleman or practices Chivalry it would go against their whole point if you used it for the reason. Then it ceases being a code or a way of life and becomes a tool.

  • If he does it with a girl that appreciates it

    • Which means none.

    • Don't care

    • @NickiB Which proves my point.

  • It can tip the scales but if there's no attraction in the first place it's not just going to make it happen

  • It will get you noticed, but you better have a backup plan cause being a cool guy only gets you in the door at house parties. If you have any hopes of getting with that wild creature you've been hunting all your life, you bet your game needs to be sharp, clean and on time.

    • "If you have any hopes of getting with that wild creature you've been hunting all your life" Right there is the kiss of death especially if you've been advertisizing it.

  • It wouln't help to "get" sex. You need things like confidence and charm. Chivalry doesn't matter much there. You're trying to seduce her, chivalry wouln't be much help in seduction.

If you girls don't want chivalry dying then maybe you should start making louder noise than feminists. Feminists are clear chivalry is benevolent sexism.

    • Don't worry about what they want concentrate on what you want. Self-interests come first.
