You can answer this question by looking at the behavior of the top 5% guys. They have no trouble attracting women for sex, and they turn down opportunities because they get so many.
Most of them have lots of one-time or short-term partners, but also have some longer-term partners. It's not unusual that they have both at the same time.
There are definitely upsides to having more sex with a girl who is good in bed, enthusiastic, and knows what you like. But there's also an attraction to new, different women. Guys who can usually get both - often with the knowledge of all involved.
Look at girls' situation today. Imagine no stigma around sex (if it was as easy for us there might appear one. Certainly having sex would no longer matter though so a mentality change would happen!). Now would you sleep around a lot? Pick one person? I feel that in this hypothetical most guys would play the field a bit and then prefer a friends with benefits or girlfriend anyway.
Of course girls would suddenly be judged based on their sexual skills. That might be an amusing change. Not that it is not already happening but it is very much a doesn't-matter-had-sex mentality now.

I'd say most guys would enjoy having sex with different girls every night... for a short while. After a few months it would lose its novelty, and they'd probably want something more familiar. I know I operate this way (hooking up with several different girls, then getting into a relationship).
Also, after 25, even when sex is available, sometimes you just enjoy a night alone- watching a movie, or doing your own thing.

Girls always wonder why guys are so weird about sex but to me it seems girls are weirder about it, saying sex means nothing without love but still refuse to do it even tho it means nothing. Like "hey neighbor can I barrow a cup of sugar?" Instead of a yes or no the neighbor says " a cup of sugar means nothing to me and I have a cup of sugar, but no you can't have it"

Changing a little bit may be all right for some time, but I think I would be terribly bored if I had sex every day with another girl. By far I prefer having one regular intimate girlfriend !
Men would have evolved to have sex with random women if they could have, but only the most attractive men would benefit from this scenario and the rest would go sexless. This scenario did not evolve because 1) women (or their tribes/families) select men for their willingness to commit to providing for them because of the risks they take on giving birth and raising children, and 2) monogamy evolved because polygamous societies are so violent that they are inferior for childrearing.
So what about the rise of sex without commitment in the US, whether it is in the form of hook-ups or friends with benefits? This is the consequence of technology to which we are not adapted (social media like Tinder, birth control, and protection) and to affluence that builds up in late-stage civilizations. If the world seems so safe that women do not need much assistance from men for childrearing and the risk of undesired pregnancy seems small, women, who still have the power of selection, are more apt to select for the most attractive men without requiring commitment. Hook-up sites and birth control that reduces but does not eliminate) STD risk enables this. Thus, we have a sudden increase of young men in their 20s going sexless while sexual promiscuity among young women is high. However, because the search for commitment and monogamy also evolved and the friends with benefits strategy is a way for women to try to get something like stability from desirable men during a time when they don’t have to commit. Also, because monogamy evolved naturally, even in conditions where it does not seem necessary many men and women will still demand it. The current situation will not last. It causes birth rates to plummet and, like all late-stage civilizations, this brings on cultural collapse and hard times. We can already see this happening in the West. The sexless young men eventually become dangerous. Videogames, porn, and processed foods that suppress testosterone are serving to mitigate this somewhat in the US, but the fear of incels as a social danger is a manifestation of this. Eventually conditions will deteriorate such that women will no longer feel safe and will trade sexual liberation for structured familial roles, women and their families will demand commitment, and monogamy will rise again.
