  • Absolutely not. It will be a sexual mismatch. Sex is important to build and maintain intimacy within a relationship. In this type of mismatch one or the other partner will have to sacrifice parts of themselves to try and keep the relationship stable and happy.

The asexual partner maybe required to have sex more often than they wish too in order to keep the spouse happy and which will build resentment. On the other side of the card, the spouse may be required to accept an almost sexless marriage to make their partner happy which again will breed resentment and both dynamics will cause damage to the relationship.

It is important to identify early these types of issues so you can make the best choice of partner that best matches your expectations and preferences for a relationship. This is one of the reasons why the divorce numbers are so high because people make the wrong choices in partners.

    • I like this response. Asexuals and nonasexuals just overall aren't compatible in relationships, it would lead to both people making sacrifices. Two aces would fit pretty well together though

  • Well, I kind of bounce between being ace and straight anyway. That would work out for me. Oh, but I do like everything except penetration too, so cuddles and other stuff would be nice. Really I'd say it probably depends. I've been dumped twice for not putting out enough (I'm a tease, or something) and it's the shittiest feeling, only to go online and see incessant complaints about how men only want sex. But if they're into my hobbies I could be perfectly fine handling my own needs on my own time as long as they're good company.

    • yaaas more men like you!!!

  • I think sex is a natural development in a healthy relationship. If someone doesn't desire sex, I don't see this as healthy for any reason other than a medical one, and it still would mean we aren't suited.

    • @BlissfullyCurSed There's no need to be rude, dude. I'm no one's grandmother either. So just keep such bullshit to yourself.

  • Considering I myself identify as asexual, I’d love to have a proper cuddle buddy to have physical intimacy without it becoming sexual.

  • Dating someone asexual isn't crazy at all. It's all about what you're comfortable with and what you're looking for in a relationship. The most important thing is to have a real talk with them about your feelings and what you both expect from a relationship. You need to think about how important the sexual part of a relationship is to you. If you're okay with little or no sex, and you really vibe with this person on other levels, like emotionally or intellectually, then it could be a great match.

Just remember to respect their feelings about sex and don't try to push them into anything they're not comfortable with. Every relationship is different, and what matters most is that you both feel happy and respected. So, if you feel a strong connection with this person and you're cool with the idea of a relationship that might not include sex, then go for it. It's all about what makes you both happy.

  • You can't have sex with a guy that couldn't get it up anymore. I mean, what's a woman supposed to do with a guy that has erictile dysfunction?

  • Absolutely not. My primary interest in being in a relationship with a woman is sex. There are other reasons why I would choose a particular woman as a partner. But enthusiastic, orgasmic sex is a must. If she's doesn't like sex, I'll find someone else.

  • Yes, as i don't know/forgot what's that sex long time ago. 🤷‍♂️

  • For most guys, having sex with a partner is what separates a romance from a friendship. Obviously, there are some other differences but this one factor is huge!

  • Yeah. It means we will be... a goddess and a demigod. <3

  • I have a woman travel partner who is basically, not sexual. She and I are not romantic in any way and just good friends and travel partners. But when she tells me about her dating relationships, she never has sex with the guys she dates even if it is long term like a year. She said that she was very interested in sex in her 20's and early 30's but then lost interest.

But as far as dating a woman who is asexual? I doubt that I would but it could be in the realm of possibility.

  • What a complete and utter waste of time and life.

    • Can I ask you a question?

    • @EmmaMary Damn! You chose violence today. Are you ok? 😅 A simple no would’ve been fine.

    • When people are on their death beds, they usually say they regret not 69ing more lol

  • nope... I am not asexual

I would rather for her to be with someone compatible with her... and also for me, to be with someone that is compatible with me

I would not want to waste her time

  • sex is probably pleasurable as a means to an end for procreation. doesn't mean you can't enjoy it--birth control's done a lot of good :). but if people don't want it, it's definitely not "unhealthy" and obviously intimacy can be grown in many other ways. actually, sex is kind of a neurosis I personally don't see as so different from the orifice pleasures you enjoy as an infant. doesn't mean it's bad, but it's definitely part of us that is deep in the inner shadows. that said, if me and my girlfriend fought, sex was a great way to make up.

    • also, if i feel in love with an asexual woman i would date her

  • As a straight person, sex is very much important for me in a relationship. If I am dating an asexual, I would be compromising on my needs. This can lead to cheating and affairs. So, I would never date an asexual

  • You can't have a sexless over relationship. Just stay friends if you don't wanne have sex in a relationship. It's selfish to trap a person who isn't asexual into a relationship without letting him for fill his needs just because you don't wanne hsve sex. Sex is not the most important thing in s relationship but without it there can't be a deep love connection you will have when you connect with someone you do have sex with.
Sex creates a deeply intimate connection you can't create in any other way

  • Sure. I can get sex elsewhere, I don't need to push them for something they don't even want or enjoy

  • I couldn’t. I’m way too sexual.

  • why do that when they would expect loyalty despite never wanting to be intimate.

  • What would be the point? How can you get closer to someone without intimacy? Let them date more compatible people and just be friends with them.

  • Nope.

  • Probably not, but that is because I don't "date" anyone any more... because I am borderline Asexual. I guess I only did it in the past out of curiosity, but one I realised I wasn't particularly interested (and wasn't good at it either), I just quit.

  • If that is all I had to choose from.

  • Why would anyone do that?
