I would say she made a very bad decision. At 14 a person is still a child who needs guidance from family. Having sex at 14 sounds like a failure of parenting.
As for respect, how is her decision moving forward?
14 year olds are dumb. Why are you losing respect for someone who was dumb as a teenager? Maybe she was molested and then started having sex. Whats it to you?

Of course. I would hope it’s their decision. But I do think (and see evidence of) sex ed in preteen classes helps reduce issues like this. The problem is a teen’s mind needs to mature more while the body’s hormones rage. Tough years.

I would not lose respect for someone based only on that. It would depend on how old they are now, and their overall behaviour now.
Meaning I don't really take that aspect into account when I figure out what level of respect I have for a person. If I lose respect for them, it would most likely be because of something else.
