I've not been fired nor have my company talked to me about it, it was just something I heard. I'm a dentist for those wondering

  • As long as you don't have any crossover in your clients, I think you should be okay.

  • I think so because your personal life is none of their business unless you were making it known around work and bragging about it.

    • By the way, I love the Chive!

  • What is OnlyFans?

    • A website where women sell nude photos of themselves.

    • @Heiniken Great. Just what the world needs. 🙄

  • Depends if you tell their follower what you do. Most likely your boss won’t want that person represent their company.

  • depends on what kind of job that you have. there is still a stigma surrounding sexwork so if you have any job that is professional or working with children or anything like that then they will not want to keep you around because it is a bad look to have someone who is a sexworker working for your company and that's just the cold honest truth of the matter.

  • Depends on the job but is wrong in my opinion

  • Depends on what the job is and the contract says.

    • Update: unless your contract has a morality clause, you should be okay

  • Depends if your company is in the public eye and if the company think they might suffer from an employees explicit content

  • Not wrong. Good firms ask for character certificates

    • It has nothing to do with character

    • No it does. Someone who has good character would not sell their nudes.

    • You sound so dumb for a dentist

  • People usually defend companies firing someone for political opinions as "they represent the company" so if it's okay to do so for that, then it's perfectly reasonable to fire someone for having an OnlyFans.

  • Yes that's wrong what people do on there own time is their business! #Chive on😉

  • I dont see why that would be OK. Maybe depends I the job type? But is it after work hours and it's their own business what they do.

  • No I think that's grounds for dismissal

  • Depending on your job. Guess not good look for a company

  • No, that’s not right.

  • Not at all, we need to stop like selling nudes online is normal

  • Yes unless it’s in your workplace handbook if not lawsuit for what you do in your private life is your business

  • Yea it is. Unless they have a stipulation that you signed off on where you can’t do anything to tarnish the company name.

  • This is going to depend on if you make your employer known on only fans or if you are in a customer facing position at work.

  • Yes. What you do in your personal life is none of their business
