Voted on behalf of my girlfriend on this one.

My dad was a doctor and since our religion did not require it and he saw no medical reason for it, my brothers and I were left uncircumcised. This despite the fact that we were born at a time when it was quite common.

Funny thing, no one ever seemed to notice in the gym locker room - or if they did they never said anything. Even the girl I lost my virginity to - she was 15, I was 16 - never said a thing.

My current girlfriend of over ten years and with whom I have had 3 children knew what an uncircumcised guy looked like, but had never seen a guy "up close and personal," so to speak. So the first time I got naked in front of her - I was changing clothes, we were not even having sex - she looked at me and said, "That is SO hot!!!"

That's it!! Uncircumcised wins!! Besides, what girlfriend wants, girlfriend gets.

Its just a matter of costume. You say that these years is the most common thing to find man circumcised. Maybe in you country, because where i live I have only 1 friend cut and all the other people aren't

I've only seen a few and I haven't seen any that weren't circumcised. When I was little I thought that's how they all looked and then I saw a picture of a uncircumcised one and I didn't know that was how they all are.

I've done my research, and decided that since my foreskin was stolen from me, having sex is not worth it. Therefore, I have chosen to maintain my virginity until I die. There should be limits on what decisions parents are allowed to make, and cutting off healthy, functional, parts of the child's body is one of those limits. Loving the child doesn't mean you will make the best decisions for them. Parental love doesn't give you any special wisdom.

Most parents have made up their mind well before their pediatrician brings it up. They usually want the son to match the dad (which is creepy, since when do dads and sons compare dicks with each other?) or the mom prefers mutilated penises (which is even creepier, since she is carving her sexual preference into her child) American pediatricians have a financial interest in perpetuating male genital cutting, since it takes about 15 minutes and they make hundreds of dollars from each ones. Look at what Danish doctors say about it. (Because of how healthcare is paid for in Denmark, doctors there have no financial incentive to do this) Why are you so insistent on defending this practice, anyway? Did you do it, or do you perhaps have a close friend who did, and you don't want your image of yourself/them as a good person/parent shattered? I will never be able to walk a mile in someone else's (fore) skin, but research tells me enough. Circumcision removes the sensitive parts of the penis, and leaves a numb, mutilated, half-dick behind. I'd rather have no sex at all than sex with a circumcised penis. And thus, I will remain a virgin for the rest of my life. Pleasurable sex is not possible for me, so I'd rather have no sex at all.

Both your examples require removal for a medical reason substantially more often than foreskins (even most 'medical' removals in USA are unnecessary but your drs are morons) and if we took these from newborns, without any medical reason, it would be barbaric Also yes, female circ is very different. However, of the 4 types the one that accounts for >90% of 'female circumcisions' is the one referred to as 'nicking'; this is so much less invasive/damaging/dangerous than male circumcision that they aren't really compareable. But because the female equiv of male circ is type 2 of 4, and hardly practiced. Type 3 (clitoral removal) and 4 (clit + labia removal and sewing shut) accounts for less than 1% of fgm; more baby boys either lose their entire penis, or die each year than type 3 and 4 fgm are performed. NPCs like you are infuriatingly uninformed and idiotic

I was circumcised at birth but I restored my foreskin. I have to say it's way better since I restored. I'm more sensitive down there, masturbation and hand jobs are easier/better, and having the glans covered throughout the day is far more comfortable.
