Why are some men insecure about their penis size?

I've seen some questions on here that indicate penis insecurity, & I didn't really know men were concerned about that. So, a general queston, why are some men insecure about their penis size? Have you had some negative experiences that resulted in your opinion, or do you just not like your body?

I guess I don't hear women saying this, but maybe you have experienced this before... I don't think all women feel that way, so please don't get discouraged.
I have, several times.. not only in reality, but on here too.. some girls say they don't care in one answer and the next they say they love big ones it's things like this that confuses guys
Yeah, not sure what to say about that. Maybe what the reality is with those girls is that they like all sizes. So, it would make sense for them to say they don't care about size & also tell someone else big ones are nice. Just a theory...
no look at the girl down there who will not date a guy under 8 inches (which is 2 inches above average) that's what makes guys insecure
That is one girl. There are some guys who will date a girl unless she has big breast than average. You can't let one person get you down. Do you think I care if one guy says I'm not up to his expectations, who is he that I would even care? Don't fixate on 1 person, it will only make you feel inadequete.
it's not one, all girls would rather have above average... the only problem is there's not enough to go around
all girls? Where did you get this thought? Personally, my ideal size is 6 inches, I wouldn't want a man who is 8 or 9 inches because they would be way too big, for me anyway.

Sometimes, it's the women in the guys lives who cause this. When a woman comments on the size of your penis adversely, it can really hurt! It's almost like racism -- because you can do nothing about it!
Do you mean the woman in your life or some random women blowing smoke out of her butt in a club or something?
Without blaming... I'd say --- women who matter! PS: Either they don't realize the impact it has, or don't care. The male ego can be quite fragile, despite all pretences.
