Can I tell my mom that I masturbate?

I am from India and, well, my family is pretty conserved like any other Indian family. That means "sex" does not exist and anything related to it is a 'taboo talk'.
So I always masturbate in my room and for that I need to lock my door. My mom seems to have a problem with it and always asks "Why the hell do you need to lock the door? What is it that you are doing?"
She has this habit of just coming in my room, taking a peak and then just leave.
Since I have high sex drive I really need to masturbate. Do you think I can tell my mom? What could be the consequences?

  • Don´t tell her if she is close minded and she will never agree because she know that after she acepting that you will take it to the next level with is actual sex.

    Just try to do it when she is not home or during the night under the covers.

    If she ask what you are doing with the door lock just say "when im studying i like to be loked" or "doing some depilation because i sweat a lot and don´t what the dad/brother to see me without shirt or see my legs" or "my bra hurts so sometimes i like to take off and i will not walk around the house without a bra"

    Also 40 min is a lot... try to find something that can help you reduce the time, maybe porn before (you can do it on your phone with headphones and the door open if she enters just play it cool she will not know) or try to find other positions to orgams faster

  • I don´t think you can tell your mom. You tell her to respect your privacy. The very reason she keeps just going into your room is she wants to prevent you from masturbating.

  • Do you really want to scar your mother with the vision of her daughter performing a sexual act with herself or with someone else? Even if she was not conservative, some things - like sexually pleasing yourself are meant to be kept to onesself. It's not a lie. It's just something private that you are allowed to share with just yourself. If she is wondering why your locking the door and telling her you just like having some privacy every now and again it doesn't mean your doing something you shouldn't be doing doesn't work - then wait until she goes to bed or when you can turn off the light with out her wondering why the lights are off again.

    Well, we all can have a bit of privacy whenever we want and its our right. So it will be wise to persuade your parents to give you a bit of privacy, talking about masturbating may not be appropriate (but is very normal) with your parents. You know it better. Better use a bathroom if possible, best thing to have some privacy atm.

But I have no good understanding of how conservative your Mom is, and how molded she is in her ways, so I can't say how she might act if you told her. And that that habit of hers is why you lock the door; you're tired of being interrupted and disrespected. Get in the habit of locking the door EVERY time you are in your room, not just when you masturbate. If she complains, start going in every time she uses the bathroom. Remind her that barging in to see what you are doing is HER policy, not yours.
