Chromosomes. XX means you're female, XY male. That's clear enough for everyone isn't it?

Chromosomes. XX means youre female, XY male. Thats clear enough for everyone isnt it?
A man who decides one day that he want's to "identify" as female by having his dick removed won't become female; he'll still be what he was before, but with a part of his anatomy now missing. Taking female hormones won't change who a person was born as either.
Why are so many still deluding themselves about this? Why this denial of reality? This inability by so many to accept reality as it actually is, is simply horrifying to me. It's insane, it's crazy.

A few people have mentioned genetic abnormalities, to which my response is, "So what?" They're abnormalities, and rare ones too, and do not represent a third sex. We still only have X and Y chromosomes; there aren't any W or Z, denoting a gender that is neither male nor female.

  • Sure this is concerning chromosomes and biology clear enough. Nevertheless I think what really happens is a bit more complicated. Set aside sociological and psychological issues, there is the plain fact we don't know everything about chromosomes and genes.

If the physical gender is clearly determinated by the X and Y chromosomes, what about all the other genes determining, or at least influencing, the behaviours of what's called female and male? XX = pussy and breasts, XY = penis. Sure there are a lot of other chromosomes associated with what's a girl's or boy's behaviour. This could explain why some guys feel female, and girls male. What these persons will do to deal with these genetic contradictions is another story where evolution has a role to play.

I'm not judging anyone, but the most wise decision when having to deal with such contradictions is just to learn and live with them. Whatever genitals we have, there's always something to do in the field of fun and mating. Once some surgical removal done, there's no way back, and in the case of penis removal, no orgasms at all anymore, and no children of course.

  • Lol I once heard another dude on this site explain gender conversion perfectly.

He said a man chopping off his weiner doesn’t make him a girl, it just makes him an idiot who chopped off his weiner.

    • That sums it up perfectly :D

    • You couldn't have said it better!

  • I 100% agree. Just because you feel like you're an animal it doesn't mean you are. Why can't people use this logic? Your existence is either male or female and there is nothing you can do to change that no matter how much anatomy you try to change.

  • Now we're known as prostrate and non prostrate owners

    • No, I think I'll stick to (old-fashioned now?) terms like men and women.

  • True.

An issue, though are rare "intersex" (hermaphrodite) anomalies: the XXX, XXYY, XYY, XX males, XY, and the like. They also exist, but are thankfully few (so far as we know).

Then, there are those who muddy the waters with "gender-identity"-issues… and inflate the perception. In the U. S., they're just 7.1% total-population.
    https://news.gallup.com/poll/389792/lgbt-identification-ticks-up.aspx
And yet, they project that the anomalies are far more than reality.

    • I'm not denying that abnormalities exist, but those abnormalities don't represent some kind of third sex other than male and female. There are still just two letters, X and Y. There is no Z or W.

    • Yup. 👍

  • @snsl153 your attempt to make the world 100% black-and-white are strange and scientifically ignorant. What is the root cause of your interest (anger?) on these topics?

    • You know what? Quite often the world really is black and white, and there are no shades of grey. This is one such example. As for having an interest in the subject, that's completely irrelevant to the points I made, those points being that in the natural world there are males, females, and (sometimes) abnormalities. Anything other than the aforementioned are outright fantasies, with no foundation in reality. If you disagree, and think that sex or gender isn't so clear-cut, then present some evidence to back up that claim. As for your absurd and utterly nonsensical suggestion that I may be "angry", well I've found that it's usually my critics who become overly-emotional, and then they project their own feelings on to me.

    • Overly emotional? Now who's projecting? Humans are literally born inter-sex/non-binary, which I assume you know. Sex is the junk between our legs. Gender is what's happening upstairs. Conveniently, those two align for most of us, but for those interested we're able to continue to expand our knowledge through science that it's not a black-and-white thing.

    • @snsl153 (i assume you know what I meant but then again... when i say human *are* born... the point is humans are/can be)

  • 100% correct. This is sheer lunacy!

  • What about people with AIS? They have XY chromosomes but are completely androgen insensitive so they develop like a normal woman.

Chromosomes. XX means you're female, XY male. That's clear enough for everyone isn't it?
    • Yes, sometimes things don't go according to plan, so to speak, and we have people with, for example, an extra X. Abnormalities do occur, but as I've already said, they're both rare and don't represent some kind of third sex.

    • These people are XY though…. But because androgens don’t work with them they develop into women. Biology is complicated.

  • Yea, trans are mentally ill.

  • No.
That is FANTASTICALLY false because that presupposes that genetic disorders never occur. But they do - constantly.

    For instance:
    1)
X0: A Turner Syndrome female like actress Linda Hunt.

    2)
XXY: Male with Kleinfelter Syndrome which is a male that is rather feminized in his traits.

    3)
Chimeras: People with two different sets of genes due to two zygotes having their two distinct embryos merge so one person results. Many people with LBGTQ+ issues have one set of genes that are XX and another that are XY.

    4)
Mosaics: People whose zygote that they were born from has multiple sets of genes.
One example are XY/XXY mosaic males.

So, no, nothing is as simple as what you suggest. Nature has this nasty habit of not letting things be in black and white but, instead, be vastly more complex.

    • You forgot to add XXYY but that's extremely rare

You can't be a little bit pregnant.
      Logic doesn't work that way.

This is the title to your question:

"Chromosomes. XX means you're female, XY male. That's clear enough for everyone isn't it?"

      That's not the whole story.
Because even excluding initial genetic abnormalities, there are conditions that may occur during gestestion and these would be called "congenital abnormalites".

Look, you are trying to make this much simpler than it can be.

I don't have time to elaborate, but you need to recognize three things:
      1. Genitals - what genitals and thus "sex" a person will be.
      2. Sexual orientation - what sex is the person attracted to.
      3. Sexual identity - what sex does the person perceive themselves as at an innate instinctive level.

All of these aspects of a human are developed under different mechanisms.

A person who is XX or XY only is likely to be a straight, cis-gendered person, but the XX or XY do not guarantee that because of these other mechanisms at play.

  • Wise woman 😭🤍

  • You’re right XX is female and XY is male 100% no doubt about that. Gender and sex aren’t the same tho

  • Can I ask why it is anyones concern how another person lives their life?

    • It becomes a concern when those who live these "alternative lifestyles" attempt to coerce others who otherwise wouldn't care less into accepting their deranged beliefs about sex (ex. through legislation, or school curricula).

    • People can make their own choices.

    • It’s the basis for government; people being concerned how others live their lives.

  • Because science only matters when presenting as factual information to what one wants to believe and feel. Otherwise it is bullshit.

Like I said, you are either a chick with cooter and tits, or a dude complete with dick and balls. Not too hard to figure out. Unless you are the anomaly hermaphrodite, only then will I rule that the either or.

    • Yes, "science" is now all about "feelings"! Excuse me while I throw up.

  • I agree with you. The transgender ideology is very harmful.

  • You are correct. There are only two biological genders, male and female. No amount of body modifications or wishful thinking will change that.

  • It's symptomatic for the times we live in.

Practically: if you add a leg to a Y-chromosome, it could very well be looked at as an X.
In courts, lawyers do that all the time.

I do have sympathy for people with emotional or mental irregularities. But many of them also annoy me by constantly rubbing their views into my ears.
Personally, I handle them the same way as flat-earthers: minimize my exposure to them, and DON'T discuss it with them; it's a waste of time on both sides

  • What about people with the Z chromosome?

    • I thought it's a joke, but looked it up anyway. You may be right: we may soon see people who identify as chicken

    • @andreasderjuengere It will happen before you know it.

    • Lol so true.

  • I get what you’re saying. Body modifications won’t change chromosomes. There are new discoveries though, XX and XY are much less gender specific then originally thought. There’s men with XX, XXY, XYXY, etc, and vice versa. There’s a ted talk you can watch about it. This study was originally done to see if the “Y” chromosome is connected to aggression.

  • I don’t really care what people do with their bodies

    • Neither do I, but those people shouldn't become upset when people inevitably reject their delusional thinking on matters relating to sex.

    • I completely agree with what you just said.

  • It's true. Everyone who says different oppose science.

  • Very clear

  • You can't change yuh our biology, but I don't think that determines your gender. Also it's not a "one day" thing.

  • agree fully
