Do you feel negatively toward people who had sex at a young age?

I feel bad saying this, but when I hear about people who had sex in high school or at a young age, I think negativity about them. I see them as unclean, careless, and irresponsible, but I don't think that's right. Do you think differently about those people?

Humans have been having sex at high-school ages since the beginning of human existence. Biologically, it's 100% normal and natural. And it was the norm through WWII for people to be married around high school age. Pushing marriage until much later is a very, VERY recent development, that came about because of the push for most to go to college. That was NOT the norm even in the 1960s, though by that time, many middle-class families could afford to send their kids to college when prior to that, college would have been unaffordable for all but the upper class.

Find out when your grandmothers got married, or your great-grandmothers, and you'll likely find that there were some high-school-aged marriages in there.

Sexual curiosity, exploration and discovery are natural to teen years. "Fiddling" can be very exciting and I did plenty in high school. But the next step into intercourse brings young people into the careless, and irresponsible category and I agree with you. Intercourse should be deferred until maturity. Intercourse should be momentous, not just the next thing.

No I don’t think of them negatively. I think it’s wrong to judge someone on something like that. Maybe you see them that way because you grew up in a conservative culture. But in my opinion, people mature and grow so there is no reason to judge someone based on their actions when they were a teenager or younger. Also, you never know- they could’ve been pressured into having sex. This is something that happens often to young girls. Whatever the circumstances are, I don’t think the age someone became sexually active says anything about their character.

Negatively in the sense of carelessness & irresponsibility especially if sex is just frivolously considered as a casual activity without any importance on intimacy. My 1st boyfriend & I waited 'til we both reached 21 to give up our virginity to each other.

I mean thinking negatively like that their unclean careless or whatever is a bit extreme and I don’t judge other, I don’t like being judged it’s not a good feeling. And as long as a person stays safe and knows what their doing, there shouldn’t be a problem

I would say that they made a serious mistake---in my country many such girls have gotten pregnant---but I wouldn't necessarily feel negatively about people who have made such a mistake.

No because I personally am a nympho and realize some others have it but also understand sex is just an enjoyable experience and shouldn't be done at a very young age but believe highschool to be acceptable most of the ancient people didn't live to be that old and were mating at even younger ages

When I was around the age of 16. I thought it wasn't too weird. However, now, I can see how it will normalize casual sex amongst teenagers. Which is awful
