Do you have a crush on any Mythological characters?

I mean both sexually and romantically, do you have a crush on any mythological characters?
These characters can be from any historical background, they don't have to be from one specific historical source.

I think if I had to choose a mythological character that I find attractive... It would be Lamia, I would say this would be the case both in anime style and as a real person, I LOVE the idea of a person with a lower half being a snake, it would be so attractive... I'm sorry, I really love snakes.

I suppose you could call snake girls my kink, it isn't something necessary for me to be aroused, but thinking about being with a snake woman does turn me on.

I also think it would be enjoyable even in a non sexual way, just getting to hug them and sit down and stroke the scales on their lower half would be so wonderful, I am picturing a very lovely scenario in my head right now

  • While I don't have an exact name of a character in general for the type of mythological waifu I love, I've always been attracted to the charm and personality of a "Dragon Maid" (A maid that takes on the form of either half human/half dragon or full dragon!).

    Being a dragon lover above all else and having a personality that forms around servitude and kindness, I feel the Dragon Maid would be my perfect definition of a Mythological crush! They live to seek out both your happiness and theirs, along with doing anything they could to ensure your "needs" are met! Protection from harm by forming into a dragon, turning human to assist your daily life; they are fiercely loyal and would never sway away from you! My only problem though is that if they fail to satisfy you, their emotions can bring them into turmoil if left untreated so make sure you're ok with a Dragon Maid smothering you around the clock! ^_^

    I mainly learned about them through the anime "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid" and from the card game, Yugioh, who was inspired by Miss Kobayashi to create their own Dragon Maids! (See image below)

    I love how both your Lamia and my Dragon Maid both take on half human and half snake/dragon as a hybrid! This question is making me curious to see what else people say is their mythological crush :3

    • Such cute characters indeed! I do love the dragons from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, they are really cute and loving!

      I could agree that they would definitely be a very loyal character regarding the traits shown and also based on the personality of dragons as a whole, I would also like to add that a problem that may arise with a dragon maid is space, you would need a lot of space for them to change between the two forms, unless of course the dragon is a smaller version and not huge :p

      I would also like to recommend the manga Mage & Demon Queen which includes a romantic progression between a loving female mage and a female demon queen who turns into a dragon but when in her human form still has her tail showing.

      Just as a choice if it is something you would be interested in :)

    • Sadly, the dragons are pretty large in size so complete transformation in a home is not ideal unless you're outside xD I appreciate the recommendation! I'm surprised I haven't heard of it but between those two in a yuri love story, I'll look into it :) Also, since you're a reader of Monster Musume, would you recommend that manga? ^_^

  • Lol, maybe succubi;) And some more androgynous creatures that show themselves as female but that don't have actual body or names but manifest primordial forces in the universe in what they are. I could call the ones dear to me Goddess of language, Goddess of preinformation (something that underlies as common rootage information, intuition, knowledge and wisdom) and structure, Goddess/Demonness of seduction and lust (or maybe it's Lilith in truth, but I am not sure).

    • You can have pretty neat talk with succubi. They understand more than many people about the world (and I think know some things that we people can't even know). Their main activity is sexual stuff but if they see that they can't get any control over you, they are open to talk about world and so. Lol, info, I don't know:) Maybe it's all in my mind/world (O_O?), who knows. I don't think it is or not entirely. You are certainly welcome, thanks for interesting question!

    • After that explanation you have really made Succubi seem to be a really good candidate as a relationship partner indeed :) It would be nice if they behaved like that, so if that's the case then I would be tempted to be with one :)

    • Awww! She is so sweet, I love how she doesn't ask for anything throughout the anime and the protagonist actually has to try and prompt her to ask for some things :) she is such a pure soul <3

    • Yeah. It's funny how they all think she doesn't know anything though. I'm pretty sure if a being can copy another person perfectly, then they're pretty intelligent. The only time she talked was when she was drunk on the poison and he had to keep asking her if she was ok.

    • Yeah I think she is intelligent, I think she just had trouble speaking because she didn't have anywhere to learn how to speak. That is likely why she became so vocal after getting drunk on the toxic waste in the woods, which was a really funny episode where she just openly called all the other girls freeloaders :D

    • Oh my, a very different type of preference indeed ;) if you don't mind me asking, is your current choice of style a gothic appearance? You don't need to answer that question, I was just curious to whether you actively dress gothic or if the appearance is attractive to you but you don't dress gothic. Since I suck at writing small amounts and simplifying, I will make myself make this less complex I was wondering if you Liked gothic appearances and dressed gothic or Liked gothic but didn't dress gothic I'm sorry that I am so bad at asking questions :p

    • I dress somewhat goth. I'm not all out victorian goth or something like that, but I almost always wear black, I like lace and other influences of the style.

    • Okay, thank you for being patient with my terrible question format on that part :D I wear basically black all the time, Black skinny jeans and a black t-shirt with a sky blue denim jacket is my usual clothing choice and also 90% of my clothes :D I often feel like I should consider getting some different coloured clothes, but I also think my choice of colour comes into my trouble with seeing certain colours which in turn leads me to not trust my own vision I suppose? I do own some colourful clothes but don't wear them frequently, only in colder weather I am more comfortable in lighter clothes and more colourful clothes. But I have nothing but skinny jeans in my cupboard... NOTHING... Nothing but black skinny jeans, which makes summer kind of unbearable -_-

    • I am always this open, even when face to face :D My friend has a strong bond being that we are open about everything, we find that it makes us all much closer with one another, that's why I don't hide my thoughts when talking with my friends face to face. Online I can talk about any thoughts, but if face to face then I would be considerate of the content I shared to avoid making them uncomfortable :p
