I've heard several people say this. They say you should sleep around while you're young, before settling down, so that when you do settle down, you don't feel like you've missed out on being with other people, or so that you don't cheat on your partner because you need to sleep with others.
What's your opinion on this?

If you find someone you loves sex as much as you and interesting in keeping things fresh, hot, whatever you wanna call it. You can have lots of fun. I think people who would regret not sleeping around are those who get bored with their partner in the bedroom. Just my educated guess xD
I think dating taught me a lot of experience,
Now I can reject women who have low self esteem, needy, clingy, cheater etc,
Experience made me choosy as fuck
So I can say you should date but never rush to sex,
Sex and dating are completely different, specifically for women if the current guy finds out about your slutty past , he will lose attraction and respect for you and eventually will just dump you,
And then you will REGRET it big time.
Let me be real with how I think the majority of people think. Guys are expected to sleep around when they are younger and could be considered weird if they don't. For girls it doesn't matter in most circumstances. I think you should do what you want when you want. Does this make sense?
There is no need to sleep around. But it is healthy to meet a lot of people so as to be able to chose the best partner.
There is no need to work out, but it's good that we want to be healthy so that we can live a longer life. 😒

It's not whether we "should" sleep around, it's whether we 1) desire to do so and 2) can live with the consequences. Double standards exist, so for girls it's still a risky choice.

I don't think is drastically necessary. I mean yeah , don't just have 1-2 ( nothing wrong with that) , but I wouldn't go overboard either. Can cause Issues, diseases ( condoms do nothing if you eat out a girl ), pregnancy ( accidents happen even with condoms) so it's always tough choices.
If you mean sowing your oats as dating people before settling down, then sure. But sleeping around? No.

Yes... go through your "wild days" when you are young... You don't have the life experience and know what you want until you get more mature. On reason why the divorce rate it so high is that people get married to the first person they date and/or get married so young that they haven't matured or run their hormones out yet.
I got married when I was "older" and my wild side had calmed down. Now, still happily married after 17 years.
