The only way would touch the water as if it was long enough to reach the water, and the only way that would happen is if it's erect. However when it's erect it'll usually stick out rather than hang down oh, so it's more likely to touch the wall of the toilet rather than the water itself. However you have touched on a keypoint that presents a dilemma for most men on a daily basis. If you're horny and you have to take a shit then you have to find some way to relieve yourself first before you can sit down to do business. I'm sure most guys have probably figured this out by now, but watching porn while doing number two isn't a good idea.

I do it all the time. I only pee while standing when there is no other way (toilet is dirty etc.). It feels so good just to relax and let it all out, compared to aiming, not to say that you can never completely relax while standing. I don´t understand why all guys don´t sit for peeing. My penis has never touched the water (unfortunately?) - it would have to be like 10 inches to manage to pull that off. Not to say that even if it was 10 inches, it would have to be hard and in that case, I would not be able to pee anyway. But it happened to me that it touched the inner front side of the toilet, and it is not very pleasant - besides that it is cold and wet, it is also presumably pretty dirty. Does not happen often, but when it does, I need to wash my penis.

Sitting requires removing pants and contacting the seat. I would rather just unzip my fly, point, and shoot. Much less effort. Much more sanitary.

In response to the update, when pooping, I always sit. In those cases, the water is almost always low enough that I do not hang into it. However, sometimes the toilet is small and I have touched the front of the bowl (from the inside) with my tip. That is disgusting and horrifying.

In my post-teenage years, I learned that it is more convenient to sit for a pee than clean the bathroom. At home, I don't sit: I pee into the sink. Now that is a very fast way!

Does my penis touch? In most cases no. There was a case that I "missed" even when sitting down. Outside of North America, the toilet seat is 'full': it hasn't got that US cut-out in front. Anyways, I began the process, and the stream went into the gap between the seat and the bowl. I needed to push it down to re-aim. Even when sitting down, I need to make sure that the aim is good.
