I have not seen the movie.
I read the first book, almost by accident. I had heard a review saying Fifty Shades of Gray was a psychological thriller. So, I went to my little town's boutique bookstore and requested the book. The two women working there looked at me like I just grew another head. I shrugged it off eager to read a new book.
Once in my car, I opened the bag and flipped the book so I could read the back cover. There it was at the bottom in fine print "Romance". Ugh! I have never been interested in romance novels. Well, darn I owned it now. I was still kind of curious about the supposed psychological thriller.
I got it home and started reading the book. I was hooked! I also figured out why the women at the tiny bookstore gave me the side eye. Oops! So embarrassing!
I think I finished the book in 2 days and got the courage to ask for book 2. It wasn't available yet. Meanwhile, the husbands in our circle of friends had heard about the "mommy porn" as they put it and word got out that I had a copy. I loaned it out to the other wives on the condition they did not allow their husbands to read it.
It was a great book, but I didn't want my husband (or my friends' husbands) to get the idea I would want to do the things written on those pages. It was fiction, but I'm not sure that fact would override the hope in the eyes of a few of them.1 0 0 0Hey, Tip,
I feel for you for the replies you got. That's why I no longer ask questions on this site. It's just not worth the crap you have to endure. I noticed that you had to tell people over and over that it was just entertaining to you, but they just don't get it. That one idiot said it was not entertaining. lol Next time you want to give your opinion about something, make sure you check with her first to make sure you get YOUR opinion right.
I watched the movie and liked it. My only criticism of the story, is that I'd rather Grey be a carpenter and NOT a billionaire. I don't know why that character had to be filthy rich.
Because in the back of my mind I was thinking she was doing all of this for the money.
But other than that, I liked the movie, and now I'm going to see if I can find it and watch it again.
I used to work in a women's work release prison, and there were three girls staying in one room. One day I saw them all excited and giddy. I asked what was going on, and one girl said she got the first 50 shades book sent to her. (I think there are three)
After dinner all the girls huddle in the TV room to watch something like the Bachelor or something like that. These three girls were never seen again after the book came. lol
I guess the took turns reading to each other in bed. So they sure liked it.1 1 0 0Thank you I really appreciate it honestly. You totally get it. Yeah I don't understand why so the bullshit it's ridiculous but haters gonna hate regardless I don't entertain it. Maybe I worded it wrong I don't know. Whatever tho thank you for seeing my side of it
You worded it perfectly. And make a mental note from the people who were negative to you. You will NEVER seem them ask questions on this site. That's because they don't want to deal with what you had to deal with with them.
I guess I just have the balls I don't know. To each their own and not everyone will like me or what I like is life. I brush it off and keep it Pushen.

The big problem with it, is that it’s complete rubbish on how the scene works in real life.
it put things like informed consent back years.
it gives people the idea that is how a D/s relationship works.
there are so many inaccuracies it’s unreal
yes there are abusive arseholes like him in groups, a lot are however kicked out.
Within a D/s relationship it’s centred around the subs needs, desires and what gives them release.
A sub has different needs, not all have the same kinks, try degradation with one and you might end up getting gutted and left wondering what went wrong, try spanking with another and you have the police around.
INFORMED CONSENT it’s a very real and critically important thing.
I am pretty sure not many would like being strung from a ceiling bar and feel a knife slowly working over them?
this is why we have limits, boundaries, informed consent, etc
Sorry I get a bit grr about the whole thing.2 1 0 0I guess it's was entertaining I don't know I know it's not realistic doesn't mean it wasn't hot lol
@tiptoetamm yeah it can be hot and erotic, it’s not however overly realistic. There is a reason the likes of Killing Kittens and other groups exist, it’s about actually having safe spaces, where narcissistic (psychotic) Dom’s and Dommes are monitored or not allowed in. What is hotter is when a Dom really understands the needs and desires of their sub, then can take them to that safe space, this maybe simple and sensual, it may be gentle spanking, may leave them bruised over most of their body or bite marks and knife marks. In all of that the sub is the one in 100% control, if there is a doubt they are not, then session ends.
Well of course
It doesn't have to be realistic to be hot.
If it got you revved up...🤪... then mission accomplished!
My wife read all three, she was very amorous (more than usual) that month. But she never suggested any scenes from the books. She was just desperate to cum.
We watched the first movie and then stopped.
I'm glad you found pleasure in them.😊1 1 0 0Exactly what I'm saying
As long as your toes are curling you have my support.
Well thank you my friend 😊

12 30I have not read the books but I have seen 2 of the 3 movies and I loved them like you did the book.
It seems that some hate or love them with little in between :)1 0 0 0Yeah you either love it or hate it. It is what it is. I thought there were incredibly hot
When I came out of the last one I went to this supper hot looking guy and girl approached my sisters and I wanting to know what we liked and didn't like and asked us a bunch of intimate questions about the movie. They were from a survey company paid for by the producers of the film to get ideas for the next one. It was fun.
*super not supper (I must be hungry again... lol)
I've read them all & I was absolutely appaled by them all. It's not sexy - it's outright abuse & only goes because the main character is a rich dude who tickles the bone under the ladies.
2 0 0 0After your update: yes it's fiction but it is still abuse, which you and many other women refer to as "sexy". You're telling people who like that sort of shit - to read 50 shades because it is not about D/s. That it is fiction, a book/movie doesn't change that. 😅
Watched it. It was just as weird as Twilight... Weren't they originally fanfiction before? Not hating on fanfiction because some of that writing can be pretty good.

fyi the whole domination community says its a shit representation.
Its a fucking awful twilight fanfiction thats ridiculous, idiotic and only loved by similar fools.1 0 0 0Yeah I guess I'm just saying it has a good story line and is entertaining
XD no its fucking not. like I said, only idiots think its good ;)
@snakeboop very much it’s really crap. Kink 2013 which should be on Netflix covers real world stuff better but more documentary approach but is more factual starting point
Yes and I really liked the story (I read all the books). I did skip through the sex part after the first couple of times as they were much the same. However, I did buy a set of Ben Wa balls after reading them which turned out to be a very worthwhile purchase. ;)
