Sexual Health I am a 18 year old girl, soon to be 19 years old. I have never been in a relationship before, neither have had sex. I have had several possibilities to lose it, ever since I first made out with a guy when I was 15 and he wanted more, but it never really felt right. I don`t really expect much from my first time, but I just didn`t want to rush it.
Anyways I`ve been talking to this guy I met a couple of months ago. I would say I`m quite weird with boys because I`m really rearly interested in any of them who wants me, neither sexually or as anything more. But finally I met this guy and it just felt very right, and we have been talking for about two months, and we were supposed to meet a couple of days back. While we were texting before meeting up I decided to be honest and tell him that I was still a virgin. He canceled our plans straight ahead and stopped talking to me. I have never been ashamed of being a virgin until that moment, it was really embarrassing. Is it a really big turn off being a virgin?
Is it a turn off for guys that I`m a virgin?

guys often have double standards about this, they "worship" virgins and think its gross when a girl sleeps with more than one guy in her life (if it isn't them), yet they never wanna date one (virgin).
So I wouldn't worry about it or let it influence my believes, you just need to be strong, always keep in mind what you want and you dont want, and dont settle for less. Even if it takes a little while, the right guy will come and you'll be glad you waited
at that age not really , a lot of people haven't had sex by 18 , so I don't see it as a big deal
