  • Normally when you have an erection, it's difficult to pee. The muscle that closes off the urethra is designed to stay clamped down when you're erect, and you kind of have to mentally work a bit to relax it, and that's not always easy to do.

    The other problem is that when your dick is pointing up, and you're trying to pee down, that's a problem.

    Then, if you've had sex or ejaculated, there is often a bit of semen at the tip that kind of glues the hole shut, which results in "Spray" instead of "Stream" or you get a stream but in a random direction.

  • Very much so. Believe it or not the male anatomy is actually designed that way on purpose, and if you think about it it makes sense. Essentially as the male becomes more...“aroused” the swelling in that particular area caused by increased blood flow cuts off the urinal tract so as to avoid any unfortunate incidents during the acts meant to follow... “arousal”. Though it is possible to urinate while you have an erection it typically takes a lot of effort focused on doing exactly that.

  • Aside from the slight annoyance of having to bend the entire erection towards the toilet bowl, it's not much of an irritation. It can sometimes be messy right after sex. Just wipe the bowl if you overspray.

    For me, if I have a full erection I wouldn't even try to pee because it just wouldn't work. If it's only a partial erection however I can pee but I won't be able to control the stream as accurately. But even though I usually wake up with morning wood it's like my body somehow knows to suppress the erection and make it subside enough for me to empty my bladder after being out of bed for a few minutes.
