Is sex the ultimate human experience?

Is sex the ultimate human experience and an experience every human being on this planet must experience before they die? If they die without having sex then has their life not been worthwhile or complete? Therefore, men espacially who struggle to get sex, older virgins or are unable to attract the opposite gender for sex have a good reason to pay for it to ensure they die happy?

  • The ultimate experience in life is love.
    Hopefully sex comes with that.

    • Now yours is definitely the best answer. I agree with you 100%. From a Darwinian perspective, the vast majority of living creatures desire the companionship to be with other living creatures. And of course their preference is the same specie. But when you see on YouTube, a lion becoming friends with a duck it demonstrates that inner biological urge for companionship. Some would argue that is not love and perhaps it isn't at least love as we know it. But it demonstrates the desire to be with another living creature. Having a supposedly giant brain, humans have made it more complicated. Unfortunately we have made it so complicated that our ability to think screws up our basic biologic need and as Sarah has said, that need is companionship and love. I believe that sex is part of that need but that whole package, that entire package of, "feeling" is the ultimate experience for humans. It is unfortunate that most of us confuse sex with love or love with sex. One does not love everyone with

    • whom you have had sex. In my opinion the high rate of divorce nowadays is because people have confused sex with love. Yes it is true and I admit to being a part-time escort. And it is from that perspective I answered this person's question and it is from that perspective I feel that I can support Sarah's answer. I promise that the following addition is not bragging, rather it is just factual experience. Perhaps 15% maybe even 25% of people that I have been with strongly believe that they are in love with me. They want to, "date" me. I immediately tell them that they have confused sex with love. Some of them get the message while others insist that I am wrong. Even though I admit to being cold and calculating and manipulative, if their feelings of love persist I drop them as regulars because I do not want to screw them up. I've seen that happen and if allowed to continue, that confusion messes up somebody's mind. Do not confuse sex with love.

    • They go well as a package but there is no direct cause-and-effect both ways. What I mean is sex does not result in love. Love creates the emotional desire for physical sex. But the opposite is not true. Be careful not to confuse the two. And this goes out to Sarah Summer – the more I read your comments, the more impressed I am with your intelligence and maturity. You are okay girl

  • No. In my oppinion, love is the ultimate experience. Doesn't even matter which kind of love. But a life without love in it is one that is very empty. So, to me, that is something every human being should be allowed to experience.

  • I think love is the ultimate human experience. Sex can go with it but love is the best thing.

  • Ultimate experience? I don't think any experience is the "ultimate experience"

But yeah, I honestly think it you never have sex or any physical intimacy with another, you're missing out. The good news is that most people don't die without experiencing it and you aren't doomed to a sexless fate just bc you're not having luck at the moment.

Its well worth noting that physical intimacy is a totally different thing with someone you love

  • Nah, to loved and be loved is the ultimate human experience.

  • Neurologists say that more areas of the brain are stimulated to a higher degree than during any other normal activity. Yet, most people, when they experience it just want to get it over with in a hurry without realizing the benefits they can acquire by staying in the moment for longer periods. They climb a mountain halfway or so, then fall back to the ground and think they've achieved all they can. They have missed the opportunity to go beyond themselves once again, and they do it again and again.

  • Sex is overrated.

  • I would say yes only if it's paired with love.

  • There are people who die without having sex, so how can this be. LOVE is the ultimate experience everyone longs to have. Without Love, there is no life, and life becomes miserable.

  • Well that and landing a boat plane, its the most fun you can have with your clothes on

*bonus points to who ever sees the reference*

    • I'm probably wrong, but the first thing I personally thought of was Hatchet.

    • Nope

no, not at all. there is much more to life.

  • nope, i'd rather be with the one person that i love but can never sleep with if i had to choose.

  • You really need to have experience with sex to really enjoy it - otherwise, you're just worrying about "performing", thinking about what's next, is your partner having a good time etc.

So I say - get your first experiences out of the way any way you can!!!

  • No living for God is.

  • The only experience every human being must experience before they die is BIRTH.

  • No. To love and be loved is.

  • Yes.

  • Objectively, our purpose is survival and reproduction. Everything else is just a bonus.

  • I think it is ONE of the greatest human experiences, but not the ultimate one, no. I've never paid for sex, never had to, and never would.

I think things like love (as someone else said), doing/saying things that impact a lot of people, or seeing that you make others happy are some of the strongest human experiences.

  • I don't think that it's the ultimate ultimate experience.
    I don't think that it's incomplete if you didn't

    Happiness has many forms
