  • I dont wear it but i feel its not something kids and teens under 18 should be wearing

    • why not?

    • I find nothing attractive about it to wear it. But i also feel youngsters are getting the wrong attention. At that age they should still be embracing their natural beauty. I totally expect them to get to college and become insecure enough to want to get all dolled up

    • I agree that makeup has an unnecessary sexual appeal and that kids/teens shouldn't wear it under 18

  • I disagree. I really don't see how makeup is sexual. To me is just a preference, it's the way some people like to present themselves.

  • I spent just over an hour applying makeup to a deceased gentleman for an open casket visitation this evening. Is there anything sexual about that?

    • i mean to certain individuals with a certain weird fetish... yeah lol

    • Makeup is not inherently sexual, since it depends on why and how it's applied. Makeup is intended to enhance features, and diminish unfavorable ones. Makeup can be applied to enhance femininity and give the illusion of sex appeal, but it's merely cosmetic. Theatrical makeup enhances the features of the performers so the audience at the back of the house can connect with them, and it brings to life a world of fantasy created the playwright. Can you imagine trying to represent Hellboy without makeup and prosthetics? And mortuary makeup is far from creating sex appeal, even to those with weird fetishes, since it's designed to be restorative.
