  • When two people age together start losing their libidos together, it's not so bad. They're both in the same boat. I think it's more of a problem with one partner (I'll use the guy as an example) is with a younger woman expecting to perform to keep her happy. Anytime there is the expectation to be having sex, the feelings get worse about it.

I had dated a guy once who was on anti-depressants who couldn't have sex, and he was frustrated all the time. Partly it was me, because I was about 22, and he was 30, and I was trying to just continue how we normally were. I didn't understand the medication, and frankly, neither did he.

But if someone is losing the interest, they can't really miss what they don't actually miss. They remember that sex was good, but not wanting it is just simply not wanting it.

  • Why do you think that people lose their libido as they age? SOME women who are post-menopausal cannot use hormone replacement therapy (usually because it increases the risk of breast cancer in those who are prone to it) and their libido wanes. SOME people lose their libido as a side effect of medications they take for hypertension. SOME guys lose their ability to achieve and maintain an erection as a result of type II diabetes.

And some of us are chasing after the opposite sex and trying to have a poke just as often as when we were in our 20s. I currently do not have a partner but my last partner and I (earlier this year) had sex 3-4 times per week. That's more than many people in their 30's and 40's.

While this means that you must, at some level, accept the idea that your parents and even grandparents are still doing the horizontal mambo, it means you have one less reason to fear getting older.

  • I am older, and yes it has diminished a bit. I still get horny and need some relief now and then like a couple times a week. When I was a teenager I was horny all the time and had to do something everyday if not a few times a day.
And the erection... damn! What happened?
I has to do with DNA and how our bodies change. Many men lose their libido and the ability to get an erection. Thank the Lord for Viagra, if it works on us.
Yet I know guys in their 70's who still get hard... good for them!

    • Thanks for the MHO :)

  • I think chicks tend to find their true sex drive as they get older.. when you’re a chick and you’re younger you have sex for many reasons... to feel loved, desired and valued to name a few. When you hit your mid 30s you start having sex to cum 😂😂. It’s ironic because that’s when guys sex drive starts to stabilise

    • i did not know this, that is an interesting observation, and im guessing you know this because you are in this position or was this just a wild guess? 😂

    • I have lived :)

    • i see, well goodluck WIT it all, pun intended

  • Nope.

  • You want to know the honest truth?
I'm 40 and you just gotta stay in shape.
There's days where I want sex like 4 or 5 times a day still.
It's no different than when I was 20.
If you let yourself go, yiu will likely have all kinds of health issues, nit just sexual.

    • thats some facts G

    • Straight up.

  • yes i have much less sex drive at 19 than i did at 18 🔥

    • Female sex drives peak before menopause so around 40

    • this is cap lol

  • I have lost mine because of how I now view relationships, which is why I don't stress over love anymore. I want to build an empire then hurry up and die so my kids can carry the torch. Maybe our sex drive disappears because of mental reasons and not really body malfunctions, the latter I used to think was the problem. Now that I am older and know it's all working fine but my mind is in a different place, I get it.

    • that is a very interesting hypothesis missy, it makes sense actually cause I've heard the mind is very powerful, more powerful than people give it credit, that would make sense, good opinion 👌💯

  • you might but it wasn't true for me

    • fair enough

    • people are all different and infact you might have as many young people not really sexually motivated as older people but i do find it funny when the younger generation think my dick must have fell off when i turned 50

  • No, they don't.

  • It mostly depends on their health. Healthy people can and do have regular sex (like daily) into their 60s and beyond. For men it just takes a bit longer to become aroused. If you want to enjoy a long sex life, find a good partner, stay fit, don't touch tobacco, don't drink too much.

  • I think it depends on a lot of things, but in general it's supposed to decrease somewhat as you age. It hasn't happened with me yet however.

  • Based on this site that doesn't seem to be the case in the slightest.

But I would believe that is the case for some people out there.

  • No not at all

    • yea it seems like its not from what i see, seems to only happen to men

    • and also those men who maybe didn't quite enjoy much sexual encounters during their youth. SO now that they might be well settled economically, they can get chicks to f888 them.

    • yea makes sense i guess

  • I’m 32 and I haven’t lost mine. I don’t masturbate nearly as much as I did when I was a teen though which is fine with me.

    • yea but you are still young, you shouldn't really lose your sex drive at 32 🙃

    • True lol. 32 is still young. I guess you meant older like 50.

    • yea basically, even tho i still think in the 50s its still possible to have a good sex drive, after all i have ran into cougar porn on pornhub

  • One of my cousins is sexually active and he’s 50s

    • i guess it just depends on genetics 🤷🏽‍♂️

    • I guess so too

  • thats a myth

    • doesn't seem like it is

    • do some real research then. one of the highest concentrations of STDs is in retirement homes

  • I have not.

  • Yes , right in my case , and good fucking riddance... I am a single dad , so that will mean celibacy anyway , also I never want to " date " and certainly never endure another relationship !! I was a serving British Army soldier at the same age as you , not the best situation for a high sex drive , my Male Curse was stupidly high back then !!

  • No, not with all. I have friends that are 60 plus & they are as active as ever.

  • Fuck no... Im hornier than ever

  • Well I'm 57 and while I haven't lost my sex drive, it's become less intense and I've certainly got more kinky/perverted, eg before lockdown used to meet up with other guys once every few weeks, watch porn and suck each other's cocks, most of the guys in our group are married and the wife has gone off sex,,,
I would cross dress and get on my knees for any stiff dick lol,,,

  • Right

    • ofcourse its easy to think that at 25 but you should see all the horny as hell women in their 50s on dating sites because one day you might be one yourself

    • @wankiam not sure I will get same sex drive that I have now but I pretty sure that I loose it at 50+

    • you might and you might not and thats my point. you have no way of knowing but i can tell you there's a lot of horny women about in my age group just as there was when i was your age
