  • Not anymore, the sjw feminists are more interested in pushing an agenda then dealing with facts and truth. I used to automatically fall on the side of the woman.. Now I automatically think its a political move to push a bs agenda and think she is lying. (unless there is overwhelming proof)

  • They should be taken seriously, that's for sure. Should we automatically put a guy in jail when a woman says he raped her? Nope.

  • No, girls lie too.

  • They should believe that she has a legitimate claim worthy of investigation.

This is not the same thing as 'yeah, she was definitely raped'.

  • They shouldn't be automatically believed but they should be taken seriously. People need to stop taking sides at the beginning of a case. Anything other than being impartial is wrong in every way.

  • I believe they should have the benifit of a doubt that they are telling the truth. But I also believe that if it's found out that they made a false accusation the law should be slammed on them pretty hard.

  • Yes, of course. That doesn't mean the accused should be denied due process, but a person making a claim of violence against their person should always be believed until further investigation shows otherwise.

  • That doesn't happen yet:

hundreds of thousands of rape kits are simply not even tested: https://www.endthebacklog.org/backlog/what-backlog
In several places victims have to pay the rape kits themselves: www.slate.com/.../...ng_charged_for_rape_kits.html

    • Except those statistics are provably false. They are a complete misrepresentation of the facts. They don't account for the fact that most of those are cases that are dropped by the accuser, lack of evidence etc. Those stats are based upon the assumption that women are always telling the truth in every single situation which itself is provably false (unless you believe that women are not human nor equal to men).

Just a few months on this site may convince you Rape is a VERY REAL thing.

My own late mother was raped on the roadside when her car broke down. She was in her seventies at that moment.

    • @hellionthesage with hundreds of thousands of rape kits untested, "lack of evidence" is probable but it's also proof our system just doesn't work. Does it even WANT TO work?

  • Innocent until proven guilty is the basis of our legal system. No need fo make exemptions.

  • Believed by friends and family maybe. But you don't convict on a word. Innocent until proven guilty. If it is found that she willfully made it up then she should get the same as he would have gotten. It's why I like sites like registerher. com

  • Of course not. That would be insane. Change the word "rape" for any other crime. Now imagine that accusation was against you and everyone believed it.

  • Okay what do you mean by "believed".
Taken seriously? Yes absolutely believed in that respect. But to go as far as causing a man hunt without any evidence or due process absolutely no.

  • I don't belivr ant woman that make accusation.
    Unless the evidence is clear.

So many woman lie chest and steal like Eddie Guerrero was there father 1.

    2. I'm a man I have to believe my side. there no brotherhood any more because we as man made it seem weak or gay to need help. Woman have a advantage by being seen as the victim nine times out ten. Every one gonna belive them. my examples are gone girl the book/movie or dragon age origins Morgan story.

    3. Cried wolf syndrome once one lies u all lie. Sucks but that the way the world works.

Look at what they try to do to Michael Jackson he did not rspe those kids. but the parent told them to lie. And the kids as adults now said our parents made us lie.
Or that girl who lied on the food ball player high school guy and says he raped her and he got locked up. All he did was break up with her. She felt guilty after six year and told the truth and nows he out. I forget which football team gave him a shot becuaee they heard his story and they felt bad.

  • Only if there is sufficient evidence.

I recommend looking up what happened to Brian Banks. A man jailed for a rape accusation, until he was released after 6 years when the accuser eventually admitted the rape did not happen.

  • No. You can really ruin a mans life by accusing him of rape.

  • HELL NO

women use this as a form of revenge

  • no. every heard of the boy who cried wolf? same results, just on a grander scale.

  • Yes.

Then angry mob abducts rapist and cuts off his penis.

Then it's found out girl made it up cause she was angry her boyfriend broke up with her.

Then people laugh it off and she promises to never do it again.

Everyone lives happy ever after (except the guy with no penis)

  • No. They can lie to get a guy who scorned them in trouble.

  • NO! Rape is a crime and should be treated as a crime but it needs to be proven that the man really did it. So that means the woman should not be automatically believed. However, she should be able to go to a safe house while the investigation is going on. Lots of women do get raped but there is also lots of women that lie about being raped as well. If a man has raped a woman he should be punished for it and go to jail. However, if a woman lies about being raped she should also go to jail. Women falsely accusing men of rape is very wrong as it destroys the man's reputation over something he did not do. Even when he has been proven innocent people still treat him like he did it. So no, women should not be automatically believed.
