Superb Opinion

  • There is a lot of job turn over in education. Public budget cuts happens at the end of every school year and the new budget doesn't get approved until just before the next school year. This means schools are constantly firing and rehiring. In university systems your job depends on landing research grants. If you can't bring in grant money, you're gone. There isn't much job security until you are 5-10 years into the system, so as a result most stable adults with desirable skills move on to other industries. Only those who truly want to be around kids deal with the instability losing their job just about every year and having to move to another school even with the highest performance reviews. As a result you have persistent pedophiles that will grind out all the instability of a career in education and join the union until they get a stable position and then they exploit it to take advantage of kids. Where as hundreds of normal adults with desirable skill will wash out into the general economy because the pay, respect, and job security is really bad in education. The education system is designed that way, so that is how it functions.

  • - they're pedos who took the job to be able to have easy access (a lot of pedos actually do this by the way, it's why they're overrepresented in jobs that give them access to minors). as to why they do it, it's just cause they're attracted to people in that age range and have bad morals, and think they'll get away with it

    - they're pedos and they just happen to have to have an authority position. though for older minors, them being in an authority position can actually have corrupted their minds, also the protection having authority gives them can enable them to do things they otherwise would be too scared to do. having power doesn't make you want to go for minors, but if you had that tendency already it can allow you to do it. it's not uncommon for some adults to think that sleeping with a 16yo isn't that bad

-for adult students, it's the same reason that older people will sleep with younger people. they find them attractive, they're of age so it's whatever, they might have loose morals if the adult student is barely an adult, and most importantly they're who they see everyday. so if you're always surrounded by young legal people it's more likely you'll sleep with one regardless of your personality. if the student is solidely an adult though not like barely and is willing dont see the problem with that though. like it's not a big deal if a college professor sleeps with his 23yo student for ex

  • Human nature. Everyone has a need to be wanted and desired. When you’re put in a position of authority it creates a type of mentor protective roll which is appealing to some. Add to that the vulnerability of some and you have a recipe for false intimacy.

Most Helpful Guy

  • I wouldn’t know about female teachers but male ones I’d say it’s a combination of

    1. Taboo: getting away with something you shouldn’t be doing
    2. Sexually attractive: if these girls were in high school they probably already developed physically (if they were grade school then there’s something extremely wrong with the person)
    3. Authority role: being in charge of these people like that can make some people think it’s hot

Most teachers I’d assume can acknowledge if a student looks cute but probably sees them as more of a sibling or like their child vs like as a potential match and will look elsewhere (bars, etc) for people who they’re sexual attracted to.

    • Keep in mind with the taboo angle that’s why some 30-40 year olds might date 18-19 year olds. For a lot of these people who might have these thoughts they might not do anything illegal but it doesn’t hurt to be ave lot recognize this sort of behavior

  • Predators working in field that allow them access to the vulnerable.

  • Weirdos and pedos. You are the adult and the one in authority. Of course lots of young people will look up to you and get along, but as the adult you should know to have boundaries and not be looking at them as anything but what they are, which is children.

  • Pedophilia. This was rampant in my Junior High. Government schools are total crap.

  • some because they do not agree with social rules as some wrote here "love has no age" like sociopath. others accept society rules but think they won't get caught.

  • It is unethical underage or not.

  • The same thing that causes anyone to sleep with another... opportunity... and because they can.

  • I was going to ask what is in the Arizona water? There has to be something.

Seems the frequency of pedophilia is about the same in females as males. It is as though what is normally attractive is flipped in their head. Don't know we can understand better than that... or need to.

  • Infatuation.

  • Horniness.

  • pedophilia

    its a crime too

  • They are perverts that are unable to have an adult relationship.

  • From reading the comments it doesn't seem like many actually know what a Pedophile is. By definition a pedophile is an adult that fatasizes about or engages in sex with a prepubescent child. That would be a child under 12 years of age that has not yet reached puberty. NOT of Jr. High, High School or College age.

  • Friends, family and colleagues of mine have been propositioned by HS girls to change grades, absences, letters of recommendation, etc. What no one seems to understand is that the females often initiate it - especially with all this recent seeming acceptability of this sugar daddy BS. These girls are very mature and manipulative. I don't know of any male teacher (or coach - you have to be INSANE to be a male coaching a girls sport IMHO) who would even dare to say something about a dress code violation because these girls are so in control of the situation that they simply respond "well why were you looking?" Guess what happens then? It takes two and most educators are not doing this.

  • people can become attracted to people they interact with every day

  • Don’t know. Why throw away a career for a child even if it’s a teen? Insecurity or the opposite: conquest

  • Honestly I don't know. Even as a guy I don't get "I want to sleep with a 14/15/16/17 year" that a lot of men fantasize about. I want to be with a woman.

  • I think maybe they just wanna feel young again or feel that they still got it to attract the opposite and younger sex. Also it can depend on their personal life like they hate their spouse or not meeting their needs and it could be easier to find someone where they work that maybe could meet their needs.

  • Mentally ill

  • It's a power trip as an authority figure.

  • They're fucking sick and perverted. Straight up there is no excuse for that kind of shit.
