  • Its quute difficult to define as people will all have their own line as to where actions go from say a kink to a perversion.

    It will also depend on culture and societies views in that area and also time frame. Things that are considered perverse in one country might be totally nornal in another.

    The same goes for time period, there are many things that are totally nornal these days that would have been considered totally perverted 60-70 years ago, and who know what will be acceptable in 50 years time. Years ago in most countries gay people were considered as perverts, but now it is considered to be acceptable by most, yet some still consider it a perversion. I'd say in general though it is a person who repeatedly crosses a line of acceptability in sexual actions that their society and tine period consider normal. Also someone who deliberately ignores and dismisses consent of others.

    • Yes very true, it has allowed different kinds of people to connect that normally wouldn't have had the chance. Sadly it also gives the perverts a playground 😳

  • Yeah it's kind of a word we toss around too much. Like people will call you a pervert for being distracted by boobs something. LIke... that's the exact opposite of a perversion and completely normal.

    Honestly I'm not sure where I would consider something a perversion though. If it involves people who don't know what you're doing, don't consent, or can't legally consent, then that's clearly a perversion.

    this is probably different for everyone.
    what I think is acceptable may be unacceptable to you and vice versa, so it’s a really hard thing to judge, it’s very subjective

    • Well that's a good way to look at it. It's interesting though, not very many here have wanted to really define what they consider to be a perversion so to me that sort of makes me think they may engage in things they think or know to be less than acceptable. Also a kink is a kink and in my opinion would only be considered a perversion if they're taking it out and into the public arena without consent. My sex life and desires are pretty vanilla so in my opinion I consider a lot to be a perverse. Does that make sense. But I know there are things I do and think about that another may think that's weird! Or maybe go as far as to say creepy, so they stay in my head!

And are afraid to be judged. * I see your point about the "out into the public... without consent". While some people might find it hot to go camping and have sex under the night sky, someone else would think that it's sex in public and that it's then considered perverted. * Do you consider things to be perverted just because you don't want to do it, or because of the act in general regardless of if others are the ones doing it? * I would never EVER dream of telling someone that their own personal "kinks/thoughts" are perverted. If they shared it with me, I would accept it as something that they do, but simply tell them that I don't much care for it. But in the end, no judgements from me.

  • Everyone has their own definition. Personally, I guess I would reserve the word pervert for someone that's into something illegal.
