Why are 30 and 30+ guys acting like they are teenagers?

All they want is to have sex and nothing else. Did they forgot to grow up past 15?

  • Sex is the prime directive for our DNA. Sex is success, or as close as a sexually reproducing species comes to an approximation of objective success. Those who have sex the most are mathematically more likely to have progeny, and their DNA will be part of the next generation.

    This isn't just a new fad come along in the the 20s, this is the origin of our species, and the biological imperative for ALL sexually reproducing organisms. So much of what we think of as our own original thoughts and ideas are in fact not original at all, they are just results of the genetic drive our sexually reproducing DNA.

    These predictable thoughts and behaviors include your apparent revulsion as a female of your species at the wanton frivolity and immaturity of the males of your species, whom you desire to be convenient for your innate drives as a woman, to nest and "settle down", to have a dependable and responsible male committed to nurturing and supporting you as you gestate and produce progeny of your combined DNA. Of COURSE you are going to be bothered by it and wish that all men, or at least more men, were your definition of ideal, as a member of your species that requires a 9 month gestation period, and as a food source for the first 6-8 months, is usually the primary caretaker. Females are biologically disposed to the long game.

    Males on the other hand, have the same basic drives to propagate their DNA, but they have more options on how to do so. They can play the "quality over quantity" long game of carefully selecting a mate and dedicating their time, energy, and other resources to a single outcome. But they also have the option of "quantity over quality", of attempting to inseminate at every possible opportunity, irrespective of the long-term prospects.

    Now this is all from a biologically scientific perspective. Most humans don't think about it on this level, they just go about their business without introspection. For generation after generation, females bemoan the cheating and philandering, males continue to go "long" or "short", and of course there's plenty of cultural and religious taboos and guidance influencing decisions as well. An example being priests and nuns who go celibate and bear no offspring. The result of that being the next generation doesn't have that priest/nun DNA, and "survival of the horniest" continues.
    Another example, the now-extinct Shaker religion (whose beliefs included the lifelong practice of abstinence).

    The behaviors which are successful (more children), will continue to be more prevalent. This is the basic premise of evolution. So, it seems being "like teenagers" as you describe, is the most successful behavior for DNA to propagate. It certainly accounts for a goodly number of accidental pregnancies, "cuckoo's eggs", and heaps of single moms. Of course, it also takes two to tango.

  • it all comes down to our personalities.

    mens bodies may get older but our minds seem to lock into an age like 21 and dont move on from that. where as women from a young age try and act more mature than they are (looking after baby dolls etc) and they then mature too fast, thinking they are 30 and respectable when they are only 25 and need to be enjoying themselves.

  • Unfortunately, some people never mature past their high school years. There are guys who aren't like that out there, but they may be harder to find.

    I have noticed that casual sex seems to be becoming increasingly common these days as well, which may have something to do with it.

  • Not all do, but some do. Those that never really got to sexually experiment when they are young, now realized they are aging and want to go nuts.

    Just so you know, men in their primal evolutionary built-in minds will always think about reproduction. They are more physical. This is why you see men always do physical stuff. Therefore, they are always thinking about the best physical partner possible for them. Not that they want children or anything. But subconsciously, it's deeply rooted in us to have sex, like we are wired to go to the restroom to take care of our private business there. Don't have to tell you what we do in the restroom. So with that said...

    Us heterosexual men are mentally stimulated by the physical appearance of the opposite sex, and therefore, want physical touch, smell, to taste, to see, hear, to feel, all the physical sensations of an opposite sex. Sure, we want to know if our mate meet certain character standards, but in the primal evolutionary built-in minds, we can't help but to be drawn to the physical appearance of the sexual appeal.

    It's just the evolution of men.

    Now what separates us from other animals and sets us above the food chain, is the ability to reason with logic, not just with instinct. So look for someone who is on their purpose, not just on their penis. And you won't have that problem.
