Well the thing is, during ancient times "Man" was the symbol of beauty, so thats why there were so many gay/bisexual people during those times aswell. Most of Greek statues represent a "god" from their mythology and according to their beliefs Gods must always had to look much much better and beautiful than others.
So while they were creating their statues they kept a big attention on making their statues equal to beauty perception. According to man in that statue was the ideal and beautiful, it was the best one.
Their D were small because according to them, big penises weren't aestethic and they were look weird/gross so it wasn't beautiful. For them, people who have big penises were ugly humans and stupid. There are also other statues which have big penises like "abundance god" it was believed his penis was big and it was bringing a lot of goods&values into their lands cause of believing in him. His statue was found at Anatolia.. I think it was Ephesus.

Well to the Greeks the size of the penis wasn't important, also the penis isn't erect, for all you know he could have been a grower not a shower, since most dicks look smaller when they're soft, simple human biology.
Also the human perfection aspect of the Greek statues had actually nothing to do with dicks or even boobs for that matter, the Greek statues were carved according to the Golden/Divine Ratio which was body and muscle measurements, and things like curves, bone width, wide hips, chiseled jaws, muscles that were just right and perfect aesthetics pleasing to the human eye.
That is what the "perfection" aspect of the statues are not their dick size also it would be extremely weird an a bit unsettling if the Greeks actually carved statues with erect dicks lol, again hence why they look small since dicks are most of the time soft and not erect.
Also just a bit of trivia for you the creator/sculpture of that statue in the picture in your question was Italian not Greek.
Ancient history student here :P Yes, in the most basic way of saying it, small dicks did portray perfection. It was mostly because huge penises were associated with 'aliens' and barbarian races and the Greeks as a whole were pretty obsessed with the idea of what being Greek meant and they didn't generally like outsiders. They didn't want to be associated with barbarianism in any way, shape or form. Large penises were animalistic (e. g. large dicks on horses and shit like that) and considered to be uncouth which was why they associated them with barbarianism. To get as far away from barbarianism as they could, they decided that smaller dicks were more aesthetically pleasing and more refined, more elegant, and that was what they were crafted with.

In ancient Greece a tiny penis was seen as masculine (total switch of todays society I know). Micro penis at the time = Alpha male.
Back in the ancient days a big dick was seen as lewd, barbaric, drunkard, un-athletic (imagine running olympics with such a huge d, yeah I don't think so), big penises also symbolised lustfulness. So opposed to that a small dick symbolised virtue, athleticism and intellect, as in these men with small penises didn't let lust and sex overpower them, because they were not foolish.
Because you're too used to seeing erect penises. Flaccid penises in an unaroused state may be many inches smaller than an erect one. It's completely normal, and does not mean the guy has a micropenis.

They weren't American porn lovers back then. Big penises were represented in old drawings and small sculptures but mainly as fertility symbols, not as an ideal. I've seen a number of these on pottery (vases) and on Pompei wall frescoes etc.

The dick on that statue may be 8 inches hard. You need to do a little googling on how the penis works. A guy can be 6 inches soft and around the same size hard, or he can be 1 inch soft and the same size hard as the 6 inch soft guy. Also google micro penis. Have you ever had sex? or at least a multiple boyfriends that you see naked all the time, not just for sex.
You realize men's penises get soft, right? Like, you can be a grower or a shower, and most guys are not showers so if a guy hasn't had a boner in 12 hours they're dick shrinks to about 3 inches but when they get a boner blood fills up the tissue and it grows to however long his actual length is.
