Try to imagine having had nothing to eat for a week or 10 days - water only. You would be ravenously hungry, and would be thinking about food and the pain in your stomach constantly - to the point that it would be very difficult to focus your thoughts on anything else for more than a couple of minutes at a time. Can you imagine how that would feel?

That's more-or-less what virtually all teen boys & young men feel like all the time, except instead of food, they're hungering for sex. And it's a constant, painful, distracting, relentless drive to find a girl and have sex with her, to the point where it makes virtually all other priorities seem unimportant. Sure, there are a very few exceptions, but the vast majority of men are this way. We didn't ask to be this way, but once puberty hits, we feel that way for the next 50 years or so.

ALL interactions you have with men need to be understood within that context. Of course, guys who HAVE a partner and are having sex regularly don't feel that hunger nearly as strongly, and can almost ignore it. But guys who are not having sex regularly have to work hard to think about anything else.

Once you understand this, it's much easier to understand men's behavior.
