i think most stigma comes from religion, but some people see that the is a practical reason to wait to have sex, not necessarily wait till marriage, but still wait.

I never really understood that. Its not like if you have premarital sex, you are a marked one or you are doomed and will be put in hell. Its also not that you feel physically bad after it, its all just superstitious in your head

Old fashioned religious puritanical beliefs, as is plainly pointed out by some of the comments posted. Some comments go on about rampant STDs and pregnancy and single mothers. This could be abated by having proper sex education instead of abstinence only sex ed. Give the kids the proper knowledge to help them stay safe instead of sneaking off and having unsafe sex.

Even if kids have the proper education, in this day and age of sexual freedom who is going to go by it. People's lives are governed by sex in their every day life. They have become nothing more than humping bunnies.

I believe in my opinion sex is something that you don't take likely. Many things go wrong for both man and woman. Woman have more chances of being hurt of something goes wrong. Let's say if a couple is using protection and the women gets pregnant and the father does not want to do anything with it, the mother has to take care of it. If a girl sleeps around she is called a slut while a man is called a stud. Stds are both dangerous for men and women. There are otyer reasons but tgey are quite personal and relogious so I will not get into that.
