If I'm protecting her from thugs and molesters and stuff, then yes. I'd love to snap their necks off their shoulders. However, if it's because some other guy is eyeing and seducing her, I'd rather let her go free and observe what she does. I'm fine with it as long as she carries the loyalty to return to me.
In the end, the best fights are the ones where you don't fight. I know because I'm a 2nd degree black belt in TaeKwonDo and have been training in MMA for about two years now. I've also been in a few street fights and have my fair share of experiences where if it's not the assailants that get you, it is the law that does. Ever since people have found the law, they use it as cover every time things don't go their lawless way. Even though you may beat up the people, if they are goons, there will be backup, and if they're petty criminals, they would imply appeal to the cops to rat you out.
I was once put under lock-up for a day because I defended my friends against some robbers standing near the ATM, waiting to rob people of their money.
Lesson: Don't fight unless you absolutely have to and there is no other way out of it.
For my wife yeah and have a few times. Usually over disrespect or groping by some drunk. Here's a tip if you try to walk away the other guy may see it as weakness and get brave enough to attack. A guy cut in front of my wife before the the traffic lights and she hit him at the back pushing him on like a cop out manuever until she got stopped, he got out of the car in a rage kicking the side of her door telling her to get her stupid ass out of the car. About a minute later I pull up to this scene, of course i want to charge in and kick this fuck to death on the ground but I play it smart. My wife has the good sense to record on her phone and I have forward and rear facing cameras in our cars. So I go over to try and calm him down with my hands up and with my palms facing him in a non threating matter , saying shit like I don't want to fight but he loses the rag and takes a few swings at me which I block and roll out of and I catch him with a right cross and left hook and another couple of rights as he goes down. When the police arrived he tried to accuse my wife of causing the accident and myself arriving on the scene and assaulting him but it was all on camera.
I'd jump in to defend anyone I love or care about. Hell , I'd even jump in to help a stranger who was being attacked. Even if it put myself in danger. It's an automatic reaction for me to defend people

Depends on the situation. Most of the time I'm not doing a year in jail for assault just to defend my girls honor when odds are good by the time I got out she wouldn't be my girl anymore. Nor am I going to challenge him to a duel, my name isn't Aaron Burr and it's not 1804 anymore.
Get in a fist fight? Why? I would defend her if she were physically attacked. But I'm not going to fight some idiot because of some verbal provocation. In situations like that I just leave, or if I'm in some private space, then I ask management to remove the offender.

@Grimfangs You'll have to ask those women. If no fighting needs to be involved, I'd prefer it that way. Violence isn't the answer to everything. There's a big difference between standing up for someone and putting your hands on someone.

it depends on the fight. If she pisses off another female then i would say fight her 1 on 1. but if she gets hit or slapped by anyone for no reason, then like a kangaroo, i will pounce on the aggressor.

PS: A student of a martial art such as karate would not get into a 'fist fight'. The biggest difference between a karate-ka and a boxer is that a boxer will fight someone. A karate-ka will aim to send someone to the ER, or the morgue, the first time that they hit them.
