Thanks everyone for answering honestly... And for everyone who disliked or insulted another person's opinion, I first of all apologize on their behalf to the owners of those opinions, and I just want to say that I didn't ask this question so that people would harass one another... Not exactly, I have a theory on why women may have been made submissive throughout history, but you would probably need to be a Christian to buy into any of it, so I won't get into that here.
From what I understand, no. There are different cultural roles that women take on that lean submissive often, but it's not an absolute rule and it's really often better when they're not submissive because then they're thinking for themselves

That really depends on the woman. There is no “supposed to be” to it. In my marriage, I submit to my husband as the head of our family, but he submits to me as the heart of our home.

Yes mostly, I think it's a biological trait used to control, direct and manipulate men. A man may think he's in charge and making the decisions but a woman will be submissive thinking that when secretly really she's in charge.
I think that women tend to be submissive when they feel free and safe enough to be so.
"Supposed to be" implies ACTING submissive as opposed to actually giving into femininity.

Yes, but it should be unto their husband only. The word submit makes people especially women uncomfortable because it can be interpreted as a woman who is weak and passive which isn't the case.
Now, in saying all that, being submissive can make you extremely vulnerable if you are submitting unto the wrong man since he can potentially take advantage of you and most will too to suit their selfish desires.
Submit unto a man deserving of it and that treats you with respect, fairness and love. Let him be your leader.
