Two guys have been confused, somehow. The question is if a 20 year old and 15 year old should be able to have a legal relationship.

True story kids will be kids some have sex some don’t rarely is anyone criminalized so why lower it? Because adults can abuse vulnerable teens without a criminal consequence
I don't find any logic in lowering it. Firstly, even 18-19yo are still inmature. Imagine a younger teen. By default, younger teens are on average even more inmature. What that tells you? It means they are not ready to deal with the consequences of having sex, much less with being parents.
If any adult want to bang or have a romantic relationship with a teen, let it be an 18+ teen. Please, Ffs, don't ruin the life of youngers one who mostlikely haven't finish highschool.
And no, a 20yo shouldn't date a 15yo. 3 years difference should be the max age gap for a consenting relation (in that case).

For me 14 is way too young. Where I live it's 18 but I think it be ok if it was lowered to 16. However there might be a spike in teenage pregnancy.

Do you know a million teen girls the ages of 15-18 get pregnant each year in the US. If girls don't seem to know how to not get pregnant why should the age be lowered? It should be increased.

I guess it depends on the area you live.
While I don't like the age of consent to be 17, I would he fine if it's 16. The most important thing in my opinion is Romeo and Juliet laws. They allow between 1-5 (usually 3 or 4) years between two people if only one is at or above the age of consent. Therefore an 18 year old will not go to jail for having sex with their 16 year old girlfriend (given the 17 year old age of consent here). Where I am our age of consent is 17 and we don't have any Romeo and Juliet laws

I see nothing wrong with a 20 year old guy dating a 15 year old girl.
The quandary is the last year in high school. Most guys turn 18 before the school year is over. That means the younger girl he has been dating for the last year is now a minor while he’s an adult. It only takes one mad parent to ruin his life and put him on a sex offender list. I’m not sure it’s best to drop the age of consent, but perhaps raise the age of an adult by a year.
