Women can get pregnant on period. but the likelyhood is more of a lessor chance. They say if you have a shorter cycle 21-24 days on you are ovulating earlier in the cycle. Also sperm can stay in the body upto five days. You can have sex at the end of your cycle then get pregnant 4-5 days later with your early ovulation.
If you stop bleeding on day 6 have sex day 7 and ovulate on day 11 itvis possible the sperm on day 6 will be in your fallopion tubes for conception.
Its rare but it does happen.
