I feel like the likely lifespan difference would be too much, other than that I can't find logical problems with it, but I personally wouldn't feel comfortable dating anyone that much younger or older than me at either age. so maybe not wrong, but its subconsciously cringey to me.

Is it normal for teenage boys to be friends with 49 year old men (especially if they are under 18?). This is all extremely strange and screwed up from the start if you ask me. Anyway there is what is illegal vs. what is immoral. Judge accordingly. But some people keep moving the goal posts. For example if a 40 year old man consensually had sex with a 18 year old woman in the USA it’s legal but will likely be judged immoral. But going as far as labeling the guy a “pedo” is fucked up (and some people will). Not saying what he is doing is right. But again judge accordingly.

Well the age of consent is 16 in that country. Funny how your son’s friend would be a “pedo” in some parts of the world but legal and okay in others. This is why I warned you to be careful with the “pedo” label. It’s a by far the worst label a man or woman could get. Worse than a murder, worse than a rapist (when the victims are adults.). It’s the worst of the worst for a reason. That’s why you should use the correct definition of what a pedo really is. It’s a person who is attracted to prepubescent children. Anyway if it’s legal it’s legal. That doesn’t mean it’s right. Personally I think it’s wrong. But as long as it’s consensual and they are both happy who are we too judge? It’s out in the open. It is neither right nor wrong. People have the right to make choices. However, the girl's choice is foolish unless she is a big girl or otherwise unattractive and the guy is attractive for his age and has money.
